Well I have been enjoying the movie and TV cinema the past few days.
Please excuse any errors in this post, posting at work on a cell phone.
Watched Godzilla 2 days ago, then yesterday bad neighbours and today finished offthe last 3 episodes of the 2nd season of Vikings
Picked up a copy of Advanced Class Guide from Paizo and skimmed through it today.
Working on afternoons this week and called my son to let him know the book was in my gaming room, he already found it and was going through it as we spoke. A few classes look intresting but overall I feel it was not needed but can be a decent product?
The hunter class looks very cool.
going on break, will edit and add more in about an hour,
Back again.
Picked up snacks for Sundays Pathfinnder game and I will have those pictures of the other half of the 4th edition game tomorrow.
Listening to the tome show eps. 75 from 2008 with Mike Merals talking about 4th edition when it was released.
I will post again tomorrow

Will add more pictures of my gaming room once I clean the table off (last nights game still all sitting out) and print up a large double poster size map of the region from the DMG 4th edition that I will be using for my War for the Lance game.
Tomorrow I will be making my first 5E character in a game myself and one of my sons will be joining.
Adam is thinking a gnome Wizard
Myself, (Chris) cleric or paladin? Dwarf maybe?

War of the Lance 4th edition game
Learning that Kitara had sent a message ahead that was given to Tasselholf from Tika.
'Dear Friends,
I regret to inform you that I will not be able to attend are little 5 year meeting. You all know that if I can not be there my thoughts are with you. My current master has me busier then expected.
We will meet again soon
Kitara Maajare"
The party ate a meager meal provided from Unsung remembering to scavenge for provisions.
The morning was meet with a visit from the local Bullywug tribe,
Off the Party went down road they went off to Fellcrest with maybe a short rest at the Five Leagues House?
They encountered some Monks, 2 of which were pulling a cart with a sick companion inside, wrapped from head to toe in cloth and wearing heavy robes.
They are seeking the blue crystal staff to help one of their own and would die soon with out it's assistance?
Of coarse this was a trap and the monks revieled themselves to be Reptile men type and wanted the staff for there own purposes. One reached for the staff and was incinerated by holy radiant light.
Each Reptile man was killed they turned to stone and after a few rounds crumbled to dust.
But it was not to be, battle raged ahead.
The forces of Fallcrest fought against goblins & Reptile men the party decided to go around the ongoing battle, they went into the old hills to avoid army pickets.
Nearing Darken woods, known for being haunted! They were final discovered by wolf riding goblins, easy work for are heroes, but not 40 wolf riding goblins (not at first level)
They ran towards Darken woods but were meet by a specter and a small group of centaurs.
The Specter and one centaur engaged the party and the rest broke the wolf riders moral.
The Party would have been easily overwhelmed if not for Goldmoon using the blue crystal staff which had caused the specter to stop and ordered the centaurs to take the group to see the Forestmaster.
The Party rode for hours till finally they came to a clearing and meet a beautiful Unicorn, the Forestmaster. Who had a dream about the blue crystal staff and what it meant to the future of the world of Kyrnn.
They learned that the Reptile men are called Dracoians and are part of an Order called "Order of the Draco" of which 2 Orders exist.
"You will bestow the greatest gift known to man if you will decided to help" "what say you?"
The Party agreed to help.
After a meal and magically falling asleep the group awoke to Pegasuses landing in the clearing. Each party member was given a magic item (or stronger enchantments on existing ones) .
Now the party flies towards the ruins of fastormel to find the gift that is beyond all have seen!
More to come another 4th edition game was played Friday September 5th.

War of the Lance 4th edition game
Session 1 July 30th
This is a D&D 4th ed. game I'm running for my son and 3 of his friends.
Yeah I know D&D 5th edition comes out on August 19th and I start a 4th edition game now?
The Group,
Terios, Minotaur, Shaman, level 1
Unsung, Warforged, Monk, level 1
Aramil, Eladrin, Wizard, level 1
Adrik, Dwarf, Fighter, level 1
Due to some unfortunate luck the session started an hour and a half late.(really half hour late we wanted to start an hour early, it did not happen).
I planned a 6 coarse encounter of "hey, you all live no matter what this first session?"
It took the heat off from the kids (and me) learning the rules, which are not that far from Pathfinder (movement, basic rules that is) I ran the adventure from the back of the Dungeons Masters Guide but cut all the story out so they could learn skills and combat as one player had never played an RPG before.
After the first 2 encounters they had it down pat and we started the Campaign.
The Gods do not exist, so you can not choose Divine characters, that means no Clerics,Paladins,etc,etc.... Well they did 300 years ago.
Seems harsh? not really they will join the campaign and anyone can change their class if they choose once the gods return, but with the 4th edition mechanics this is possible to game without clerics.
Story begins,
The group 5 years ago separated and made an oath to meet back up in 5 years and see how everyone is and what the characters are doing and have become, so they Meet in Solace all the characters home town. Two more are part of the group, Tasselhoff Burrfoot, burglar and Kitara Majar.
They entered the Inn Of the last home and talked to each other, Terios and Aramil saw thousands of armored and orderly goblins marching past Solace and watched 400 goblins march into Solace.
They ran into 5 goblins asking them for a blue crystal staff for lord Mek-mek, they then went to the Inn.
Adrik and Unsung where stopped on the road by Worg riding wolves asking the same question, which both did not carry this staff as well.
The group meet up in the Inn with Tasselhoff and a new companion, named Goldmoon a Human Barbarian, an old man told stories of the gods in which a drunk man declared him a heretic against the high seekers but he fell into the fire pit and his clothes caught on fire. The old man was crying for someone to knock the man down so they could smother the flames. Tass took Goldmoons staff and knocked the man down, but the staff turned into blue crystal and healed the man? by the gods!
The people in the Inn panicked and called for the guards, but the goblin soldiers came instead, it was time to leave.
The group departed out the back through a magic window the fighter had, you see the Inn is 40 feet above the ground in a giant tree, they used a skill challenge to get away instead of fighting.
They fled to Tikas house an old friend and barmaid at the Inn, once they searched the house and neighbors house for supplies (right on Ryan!) they put one and one together and had to get out or town, fast!
Another skill challenge later and they hit the river fleeing the goblins in a stolen boat Tass magically found.
The game continues August 6th.

Surfing the net and thinking?
Took a good hard look at Fat Dragon Games yesterday and even if I can make terrain (years of gaming Warmachine & Warhammer) I will digress and go with printable paper scenery for my RPG experience.
Why?
It takes as much time to assemble as it does to create the terrain and I don't have to paint it.
So I will take the lazy way out this time.(or is that every time?) :)
Plus when something gets destroyed just print and assemble and no fuss.
Purchased this yesterday from Fat Dragon Games,
http://www.fatdragongames.com/fdgfiles/fantasy/3d-paper-terrain/e-z-dungeons/e-z-dungeons-dungeons-of-the-mountain-king-fdg0142
Need to figure out a cheap way to print this all out?
Staples wanted $38 on 100 lbs. durable card stock, Fat Dragon Games said they use 110 lbs card stock. I would have to buy from Micheal's a hundred sheets for $20 plus pay $0.39 per copy plus a $2 fee.
It would be the same price but I would have it on thicker card stock AND 60 pages still left over, far better deal. Just wondering if I can buy a printer and refill the tone for even cheaper? need to crunch the numbers?
