Never stop Trying

So group B that I got into back in May, started playing and it fell apart due to life happening, we tried to continue it but once again it fell apart.

Now This Sunday I found out that a Pathfinder game is starting close to me, about 30 mins away, not that big of a drive so I think I will attempt. Fast forward and group C has also fallen apart, due to me not being able to attend.

I'm happy with my current group just feel during the winter we played 3 to 5 more sessions is all.

All the Players are level 10 and should be ending the campaign in 22+ sessions, so around 15th level the game will end and then we have to decided what to play next?

Mounted Combat/Skilled Riders

How I do Mounted Combat.

What is included in the Mounted Combatant Feat on page 168 of the fifth edition players handbook.

1. The Mounts Movement becomes your move while mounted.
-The riding horse has a move of 60ft, you have a 30ft move.Horse moved 30ft and you dismount, you would have 15ft remaining left of your own movement.

2. If the mount has an attack, use a bonus action to have it make one attack.
-Make a animal handle check of 10 plus the challenge rating of the animal. Riding horse is a challenge rating of 1/4, so DC 10 (round down) you succeed attack with the creature.
If the creatures Challenge rating is higher use that as the Challenge Rating DC instead.
ex. Guardian Naga is a Challenge of 10, the DC would be 20 to command the horse to attack a large monstrosity serpent.
*This does not apply to medium or small humaniods (orcs,goblins,hobgoblins,etc...)

3. You can use a Disengage action on a charge but it costs a bonus action and you must be doing a ride by, not stopping. This does not allow the horse to attack, just you.

4. You can only do one attack while doing a Ride by attack. 

Getting Back Into it

My last session has really pushed me back into enjoying gaming and I look forward to what is ahead.

I have been doing side jobs with the devastating news that hit my area for employment with close to 10,000 people being affected. I do not miss building fences.

I have enjoyed role playing games my whole life (currently close to 33 years) but have had an off again, on again affair with it for those years. Changes to my financial situation (kids and paying for University for them) with how I spend my hard earned dollar towards other hobbies have all but disappeared from the radar. But not RPGing it has grown.

I then took 5 books off my self and gave the party 5 rumours going on around the village of phandelin, but changed the village to be closer to the sea and even have a dock.
They went with Sinister secrets of saltmarsh, the rumour was,

Desolate and abandoned, the evil alchemist's mansion stands alone on the cliff, looking out towards the sea. Mysterious lights and ghostly hauntings.


They went to a haunted house.

It evolved into the next chapter of the series U2 Danger at Dunwater.

Now I get to see how Wizards updated the game I ran with those modules.

Working on converting Rise of the Rune Lords book 4 Fortress of the Stone Giants to D&D 5e, the group just defeated the Storval Stairs encounter. Soon will have that written up, about 6 sessions reports behind.

• Eating: not meat, gout has it's clutches in me.
