the stars, trusting in the guidance of destiny. If no stars
are currently visible, softly sing or chant all of the names
of stars that you know as you perform your dance. Let
your mind expand and turn your thoughts away from
where your feet might land, allowing your steps to fall
where chance wills. When the dance feels complete, cease
dancing. Ponder the steps you took and the position in
which you stopped, and consider what portents these
subtle clues might hold for the future. Gain advantage on                                                                                                                                                     your first initiative check of the day.

in the shape of an arrow. The seeds may be those of any
plant that can potentially grow in the region, though edible
plants are preferred. The seeds don’t need to be from a
type of plant that could thrive in that soil—all they must
have is a chance at survival. If no suitable earth exists,
place a small bundle of seeds (again, those that grow
edible plants are preferred), a small bundle of preserved
food, or a quiver of arrows in a place where a passerby
might see it. Mark your gifts with Erastil’s sign, and say a
prayer for the health and safety of the communities in the
area and those who may be in need of Erastil’s guidance.

The art piece need be neither large nor complex, but heartfelt
and made to the best of your ability. Gift the piece of art to
a stranger and pay her a sincere compliment as you do so. If
there are no suitable individuals around to receive the gift,
leave it in an obvious place with a note praising Shelyn and
asking whoever finds it to take it with your warmest wishes.

sizable flat stone with a hammer for at least 10 minutes. If
the sound of your hammer draws a creature near, encourage
it to join in your worship of the Father of Creation. If
hostilities become inevitable, leap into the fray with a battle
shout in praise of Torag. Perform some small act toward
maintaining your weapon, such as sharpening or polishing
it, as you conclude your obedience with another prayer to
Torag’s might and wisdom. Alternatively, if you have created
something through this effort, grant it to the next person
you meet who strikes you as fair and honorable. Gain advantage

that makes you uncomfortable. Pray aloud to Calistria before
and after the act, and encourage your partner to do the same.
If no suitable partner is available, wrap yourself in yellow
silk and hold your holy symbol against your chest. Meditate
on the teachings of Calistria and fantasize about taking
vengeance against one who wronged you. Gain advantage on
your first Charisma-based skill check when interacting with an
intelligent creature that could be sexually attracted to you.

Rise of the Ruinlords Session report 7?

We have had a few games sessions in with are Rise of the Runelords campaign in D&D 5e.

If I had to put a number on it I would say 7 sessions so far to get through book one.

At this rate of 7 sessions a book @ 21 sessions a year with a start time of October 2017, we should be done approximately 19 months to finish the campaign from now.
Lets see if I will be right? December 2019 the campaign will end and January 2020 a new beginning share arise?

I finale get to drive the game again! Back in the DM's chair but only ran the last 2 hours of the session. With 3 weeks of to are next session I can't wait to play again.

I will leave you with pictures of the game.

Pathfinder 2e

Have to say I'm a little excited for the next edition.

I stopped playing Pathfinder 1e about in sometime around 2014 played D&D 4e for about 6 months and picked up D&D 5e and have not looked back. I enjoy a cruncher 5e but do not want to do the work that that would partake, yeah I'm lazy.

So far I have enjoyed the talk and listening to a play thru of Crypt of the Everflame with the glass cannon crew with Jason Bulmahn, the Director of Game Design at Paizo, and Erik Mona, the Publisher and Chief Creative Officer of Paizo.

https://glasscannonpodcast.com/the-pathfinder-playtest-parts-1-and-2/

Still waiting for finale episode to be released.

I hope this ends up 35% more math then D&D 5e/

Book one completed

With Book one of Rise of the Runelords 5e style, will be completed are next session this coming Sunday with an hour or two left to completion Book two will start with me at the helm.

I enjoy adding levels to monsters as 3.5/Pathfinder did/does and have been adding levels to ghouls to throw at the party in Book two.

It is tricky creating/converting monsters, you never know if it is too much or too little until you play it out.

Are last session we had a player death and one player announced something that came from no where.
They we're dropping out. This kind of burst my bubble. I enjoy gaming with this person, I talk with them a lot, through messenger mostly, this is the second time they have starter something with me and later left to do something else. I don't think I can game with this person again if they want to join something I'm into?

Anyway,
The cleric was cut down in a large fight in the Temple and the wizard (now left the game) failed 2 death saves, passed three awoke to find us victorious.

Pathfinder? or Not to Pathfinder?

Pathfinder? or Not to Pathfinder?

That is the question.

I find us using more and more rules from 3.5/Pathfinder every session or at least discussing the consideration of using the rule in are 5e game.  Does that mean subconsciously we want to play Pathfinder again?
Are Noob player has borrowed and read some or most of the Pathfinder core rulebook and would make the switch to Pathfinder for the endless possibilities instead of the easy of play 5e allows.
Are relaxed player just wants to play but will try it, but it comes down in my opinion to him being bad in basic math, as he has mentioned many times.

release schedule of 5e

Starting to get a little irritated with the release schedule of 5e.

I want more! I want Dungeon Magazine back!
If they released Dungeon Magazine bi-monthly and digital we would (as DM's) much more content, ideas, stuff to steal, borrow for are games.

They could produce 6 magazines a year for 10+ years with a few people converting all the existing dungeon magazine content out for 5e. They could even release 2 hard covers a year doing the same thing that Tales of the Yawning Portal did but with dungeon magazine content.

I don't get it?           Even out source it to a third party to convert and publish with zero risk, but you and I know it would sell regardless.

Currently I steal (or borrow) from Paizo (Pathfinder) but converting is simple in this edition, so it has not been an issue.
I can not praise them enough and if you did not know they are (or most) former employees of TSR or freelanced for Wizards of the Coast many times.

With new magic items, monsters, character classes, information for players and dungeon masters in pretty much many of the 5e book everyone at the table has been purchasing  the books so I have stayed away from running the current line of 5e releases. I can not blame them, they are starving for content. WotC with a slower release schedule has generated more profit by selling more or less produced books.

I currently have been looking to Pathfinder for guidance to get ideas.

Reading other RPG's

With finishing the 13th Age core rulebook, I sit here looking at my shelf thinking what RPG to read next?

Read Fantasy Age, read and played Dungeon Crawl Classics, I purchased Dungeon Fantasy (GURPS), Fate, Startfinder. I have Green Ronin's Game of Thrones sitting at my flgs for purchase.

My next big RPG I want to read and DO want to play is Genesys from fantasy flight games. I don't like fantasy flight, I will say it. I stay away from the company for my own reasons, they are my own.
But with a generic system I finally want to pick the book up. I know the system as I have Edge of the Empire, Force & Destiny starter boxed sets.
