Prophecy Cards

Return to Phandalin

Gaspar – 5th Level Human Monk, 3rd Level Psychic
Baphomet – 8th Level Tiefling Warlock
Hamoot – 8th Level Hill Dwarf Cleric (Absent)
Fiddlesticks – 8th Level Rock Gnome Wizard
Gabriel – 5th Level Human Paladin, 4th Level Warlock
Bojangles – 8th Level Forest Gnome Bard

After sending off the only escape boat, Gabriel rejoined the rest of the group below decks only to find that Hamoot had went to clean up the old shrine room of the ship. While the party prepared to go clear the rest of the second deck, Gabriel searched the old captain’s quarters and found nine potions and a spell book. He then went to rejoin the rest of the party and after going into the first room they found the ghost of Gabriel’s former daughter Pryia who was lashing out at two of the ships former crew with a whip. Gabriel tried to find out why his  daughter was here and she said that her grave was disturbed by the captain of the guard at Phandalin named Rodrick who ordered that their bodies be moved in order to construct a wall around the city. She told Gabriel that is was Loviatar’s wish that he returns to Phandalin and exact revenge on Rodrick. Gabriel complied which caused Pryia’s ghost to disappear. The group helped the two crewmates and while tending to their wounds, Fiddlesticks realised that they were lycanthropes. Once the crew mates were stable Fiddlesticks sent his imps into the bottom of the ship with a sending stone and the response from them was a scream before falling silent. Fiddlesticks threw a stone with light cast on it down the hole and the party jumped down to find out what killed the imps. Upon landing the party was ambushed by a half shark, half octopus creatures. During the fight Fiddlesticks enlarged 12 centipedes to aid in the fight against the creature. However once the first creature died, another came from the other side and almost killed Bojangles. The group then turned its attention to the other creature and killed it.
Once the group returned to the main deck they realised that a storm was approaching and that they would have to try and save the ship.  After a constant struggle the group managed to succeed in their skill challenge and save the ship. After a three-month sail, the group managed to return to Phandalin and were met by a contingent of troops lead by a former sergeant of the militia named Vladimir, a replacement character for Bojangles. Vladimir greeted the group upon their arrival and explained the current state of the sword coast. A month after the groups absence from Phandalin, orcs and giants forged an alliance and started a war against the cities of the sword coast. Phandalin has mostly been dealing with orcs, orogs, ogres, ettins, and the occasional hill giant. They learned that the Twisted Nail orc tribe and the hill giants of the Heart Eater tribe came together to form the Twisted Hearts tribe and have already attempted to attack Phandalin once. After meeting with the local militia the group was met by one of their former crew mates who also happened to be part pf the red cloak bandits who terrorized Phandalin two year earlier. He told his former bosses that they should meet with him at the local tavern once he was off duty in an hour. While the group went to meet their former employee, many of Phadalin’s citizens were praising them and saying that they were saved now that the hero’s of Phandalin had returned. Once they meet at the bar, their former employee told them that in their absence the town council took all the money they had made earlier and use it to fortify the city since they were pronounced dead after being missing for three months. He said that they should enlist in the militia for one year so that they would become citizens of Phandalin and then be able to reclaim their former treasure horde. While Gaspar, Gabriel, Hamoot and Baphomet went to in list in the militia, Fiddlesticks went back to the boat since he had no reason to enlist. On the boat he found a deck of many things and immediately drew a card which granted him a gnome companion named Dudu.

Pathfinder Hell's Rebels 5e style

Looks like I maybe getting a second group started.
These are people I used to miniature Fe with and one I used to RPG with back in 3rd Ed D&D.

My current campaign will wrap up in approximately 23 sessions which will take us into 2018. How my current campaign ends will directly affect my third campaign which will be directly affected by how campaign one and two play out.

I will be running a second campaign of D&D 5e starting in March, this will follow the Hell's Rebels Adventure Path from Paizo.

My current campaign and this one will end ruffly the same and create something I have always wanted to do. The cat will be out of the bag soon.

My son writes all the session reports and I add all the pictures and post them. Currently 10 more are written and with a second campaign going the blog will get updated more often.

We have finished 30 sessions, at the time of writing this and life has really pushed my time with the laptop back, but, yes but, I will try and update this on a regular basis from now on.

Are new (months ago) Inspiration tokens for the group. The coin in the center is a Canadian dollar, nicknamed the lonnie.

                                                                         Session 19

Gaspar – 5th Level Human Monk, 3rd Level Psychic (Absent)
Baphomet – 8th Level Tiefling Warlock
Hamoot – 8th Level Hill Dwarf Cleric
Fiddlesticks – 8th Level Rock Gnome Wizard
Gabriel – 5th Level Human Paladin, 3rd Level Warlock
Bojangles – 8th Level Forest Gnome Bard

The ship was approaching the party so Fiddlesticks cast fly on both himself and Baphomet in order to observe the deck. They flew up above the ship to see four undead archers in the crows nest and four undead humans on the ships main deck. Fiddlesticks did the logical thing and hurled a fire ball at the crows nest which caught the sail and mast on fire, but cause the archers to fall down to the deck. Hamoot, Gabriel and Bojangles climbed up from the side of the boat and started to attack the zombies on the main deck. While killing the zombies, Gabriel started to realise that all of the undead were people that he knew fro his home town of Phandalin. Once the zombies on deck died Bojangles, Baphomet and Fiddlesticks went down to the second level of the boat using a ladder while Gabriel and Hamoot took the stairs. Gabriel and Hamoot clashed with four zombies by the stairs while Baphomet, Bojangles and Fiddlesticks engaged a wight. During the fight with the wight, Baphomet cast darkness which caused Bojangles to climb back up a ladder and Fiddlesticks to summon to imps to help guide him through the darkness. Once Gabriel and Hamoot managed to kill the zombies they came to join Fiddlesticks and Baphomet who just finished off the wight. However, a new undead creature came through the door who happened to be Gabriel’s former wife. Baphomet dismissed his darkness and the party blasted the undead, after which Gabriel starting to collect the bodies of all the undead creature, load them up onto the ships last life boat and set the boat on fire into the ocean.

Brawl with the Deep Mother

Session 18

Approximately April/May 2016

Gaspar – 5th Level Human Monk, 3rd Level Psychic
Baphomet – 8th Level Tiefling Warlock
Hamoot – 8th Level Hill Dwarf Cleric
Fiddlesticks – 8th Level Rock Gnome Wizard
Gabriel – 5th Level Human Paladin, 3rd Level Warlock
Bojangles – 8th Level Forest Gnome Bard

The party attempted to parley with the glabrezu, and through the conversation they learned that the glabrezu was not the true mastermind behind the plot to take over the sahuagin and that his leader was known as the Deep Mother. He gave the party passage to the Deep Mother and he also gave them his gnome prisoner, Fiddlesticks, to aid the party with killing the deep mother. The party moved into the lair and attacked the Deep Mother only to find out that she was an aboleth. The party was ambushed almost immediately once the combat started by a pack of sharks and Gaspar was dominated by the Deep Mother for a good chunk of the combat. After the long encounter the deep mother managed to flee from her lair and further into the underwater catacombs. The group returned to the sahuagin who told them that they would throw a feast in their honour for driving the Deep Mother away and they invited the party to stay and help them continue the fight against the sahuagin who were still loyal to the Deep Mother and her rebels. The party politely refused and upon the feast starting all of the party passed out from drugged food except for Gaspar who somehow made a crazy Con saving throw. The sahuagin told Gaspar that if we ever returned to their kingdom that we would be killed on the spot and then proceeded to force feed him the food until he passed out.

The party awoke on a small tropical island where they were stranded for three weeks. All of their magic items that allowed them the ability to survive underwater were taken away from them. During their stay on the island they learned from Fiddlesticks that they had been in the sahuagin kingdom for nearly two years and that in their absence an alliance between giants and orcs has been formed an they have been attacking every settlement along the Sword Coast. After three weeks on the island a merchant vessel came by and the party was able to get the ships attention and passage back to main land. However, 10 days into there voyage the ship was attacked by the sahuagin king who was riding a giant shark. The party was the only survivors from the attack. They spent the rest of the day surviving on drift wood until a thick fog overtook them and a boat came out of it. Baphomet, Gaspar, and Hamoot immediately recognized the boat as The Rainbow Way, the ship they had sailed two years earlier.

RIP Thane and Oceanus

Session 17

Approximately March/April 2016

Gaspar – 5th Level Human Monk, 2nd Level Psychic
Baphomet – 7th Level Tiefling Warlock
Hamoot – 7th Level Hill Dwarf Cleric
Thane – 7th Level Human Rogue
Gabriel – 5th Level Human Paladin, 2nd Level Warlock
OceANUS – 7th Level Aquatic Elf Fighter

Gabriel and Thane quickly regained their composure and burst back into the room to fight the priestess. The group battled the priestess for about a round, but the priestess turned invisible and fled back out into the hallway. In the hallway she opened up one of the wedged doors and released 4 giant eels into the battle. The group battled the eels and eliminated them and forced the priestess to retreat into a corner of the hallway. Thane grappled the priestess and the rest of the group corned her.  The priestess cast plane shift and Thane and OceANUS decided to go with her. Upon arriving in the new plane Thane slit the Priestess throat before bowing to demons present in the new plane with OceANUS. The rest of the party fled back out into the main hallway of the underwater keep where they learned that the sahuagin honour guard outside was on their side and that he would prevent other sahuagin from interfering with them fighting the king.
As the group prepped for the fight, Baphomet’s crystal started to glow and Bojangles, a gnome bard who helped taking the Haunted House from the red cloaks emerged. The party made their way to the king’s chamber, but on the way they found a human blacksmith named Armen, who was crafting weapons in preparation for the sahuagins conquer of the land. Gabriel told Armen to armour up and join them in their fight against the king. Armen did so and the group busted into the kings chamber. The party realised that the king was no sahuagin and that he was a demon called a glabrezu. The glabrezu had a gnome prisoner next to him.
