Motivated

Motivation,

I'm finding it very hard to get motivated with my gaming in the past 3 weeks. I think it relates to the issues at home.
Nothing serious just upheavals with scheduling and from the norm to chaos till we find a way around it.


So I need to get motivated! Tomorrow I make two encounters.

3D print

I printed my first large and time consuming print to date.
The song of fire and ice miniatures game uses a board for the game and a young fellow in my gaming group requested it, well here you go,

Working on converting Rise of the Rune Lords book 5 Sins of the Saviors (still working on the last one wrath) to D&D 5e, the group has completed three section of the Runeforge and entered the Ravenous Crypts currently.

• Reading:  Pathfinder 2e
• Watching: Fear the walking dead S03, Doctor Who S10, American Dad S15.

• Playing: D&D 5e in Golarion world
• Eating: less (my wife is working again after 18 years)
• Drinking: water & coffee

Cancelled Session

I almost never cancel sessions but last night with two of are appliances not working had to shut the game down for a this one session to get my life in order. Hopefully it can be done quickly and cheaply/
My washing machine is leaking and the dryer heating element is not working, time to get these fixed.

Good bye Amazon, Hello Chapters

I Cancelled all books that I pre-ordered from Amazon due to shipping habits.

They package everything now in bubble wrap envelopes and my hard covers keep getting damaged.

I re-ordered everything from Indigo Chapters as they ship in cardboard box type envelopes better protecting the book.

Life

It gets in the way of having fun, I have been busy with no time to prep or my home game and then they drop the ball and schedule a Saturday production. Half my cell is calling in or scheduled to not work so I have a strange feeling I maybe working that day 😭

I will be prepping my game  starting today just need to read up on two sections and monsters then read a third section that I populated with creatures.
They fled from the nightmare when we last left off!

Time invested

The players are all 3rd year university engineering and a computer software guy? (computer science student, I believe?). All enjoy the game and prefer Pathfinder to 5e but they refuse to invest time into the game.
It always confused me as to why someone would enjoy something so much but yet not do the work associated with it. Lots of work, yes, but a small amount attached to your hobby perplexes me.

I get a difficult or confusing but say a easier game that you have played for months is hard to wrap me head around?

My first Session of Pathfinder 1e, part 2

I played another game with my sons group as they needed another fill in player.

We continued on after the Stag fort and the group began building their empire.

I educated the Warpriest on how to better play his character.

I see the differences between D&D 3.5/Pathfinder 1e and D&D 5e more clearly now and how the game flows easier and with less issues in debates of the rules. I still think  5e needs more but agree that Pathfinder 1e needs less.

Tome of Beasts p.183 these look interesting to use as eldritch knights in the halls of wraith?

I will lose the Undead tag, the Damage resistances and the Conditions immunities making them CR 5 creatures now and living.

Will be working in hallways and then will start my third room to 3D print.

Last nights session

Yesterday in the Runeforge,

While within the Ravenous Crypts of Gluttony the so called heroes did not even find the big bad guy (Azaven). They fought Xyoddin Xerriock and she messed them up.

for my 5e rise of the runelords 5e game. They are level 12 within the runeforge.
I used Jasna Veldrik from Demon Cults & Secret Societies p.48 and 5 Darakhul from
Tome of Beasts p.216 after this fight I did not spring the 6 mummies in the next room but they all failed a perception check to find Avavens chambers.

Best part was the druid smashing the negative plane gate and releasing the Nightmare, they are being pursued by the nightmare but it went into the halls of lust and they fled to the halls of pride.

Working on the game

Just doing a few touch ups on the festering maze of sloth in the runeforge and still need to read and complete the halls of wraith and how to enchant all the groups weapons?

After these two remaining days of the long labour day weekend I will start book six spires of xin-shalast and begin the end of the campaign, November 2019 is the target date to begin the count down, T-minus 10 sessions to the end.
I will guess they will end at level 15 but not really play much of that level.

My Dream

Had a dream last night, with the wife with gainful employment I retired at the age of 55 (9 more years) and I opened a 3D printing shop.

It was just to keep me busy and fill my day's in the winter printing off stuff for gamers across North America, I believe 3D printing will take off within the next 5 to 6 years and by 9 it will be more common in house holds that it will be too late, but you never know? 

Still working on 3D printing my dungeon and in a month start a cavern project.

I got help

My wife after almost 18 years of unemployment went out and found a job, now that needing to raise the children is not complete but lessened.
This is a three fold reason,
one, the auto industry is shrinking and my job is in jeapordy, it always has but it seems worse.
two, we have 2 children in university in a few days.
three, I walked into the dealership and bought my wife a new jeep Cherokee as she said she would need it to get a job.
 

Last Session

The Half-orc Barbarian is no more, the Succubus charmed him 2 sessions ago and he turned on the party when they tried to force him to leave with them.
It was nice to see the rest of the group actual having a little fear.

They had to put him down and revivify did not remove the charm, but the Druid knew reincarnation would. Charles is now an aasimar (fallen) barbarian.

We are in the Ravenous crypts and necromancy is a foot, they will battle a lich for the first time in this game of 5e and lets see how they do up against it.
