Thought of the Day

Been reading the 4th ed. books and got to say it plays more like a board game WHEN combat happens, anyone can make the game better by playing it out in ROLE playing with extra bonuses for the guys that need those bonuses for mechanical reasons?

The system is plagued with errata but my DDi Membership automatically gives me the current up to date answer, which I like and starting in December new issues of Dungeon magazine and Dragon magazine start coming out again. (yeah!)

The Aug. 6th session was canceled so the next one will not be till school starts for my 4th ed. group.
But I will be getting my group that fell apart a year ago back together, which we will try 5th ed. or I will run 4th ed.?
Adam will be joining me this time around as I found out yesterday that the DM had issues that he needed to deal with and they were very valid, I was unaware of this as I did not partake in the social aspect of the gathering.
Read a lot about "the lazy DM's articles" and have implemented a few changes for my games.
I will now buy stock in 3" by 5' index cards and made stand up cards with them for initiative and stand ups for an initiative tracker on the D.M's screen. Considering removing the D.M's screen all together but that's a maybe?

Next up Organizing?

Let's get this party Started

Looking at getting a little more Organized with my posts for gaming and a NEED to get into Dungeons and Dragons (and all it's editions and OGL).

This picture is from are current Pathfinder game, the Carrion Crown Adventure path book 3 I believe?

I will be posting once to twice a week for my Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition game I just began running for my son and 3 of his friends, the 5 edition game I will be participating in a week or two and finally the Pathfinder game I DMed for the first 4 books of the Carrion Crown Adventure Path.
I currently stepped down from DMing the Pathfinder game and joined in the fun of playing.

Hope to keep this going and seeing your comments on the Inter webs!

Enjoy!
